This project is made as an archeoscientific experience (fiction), which allows the authors to rebuilt, from some manuscripts, the biography and singular scientific work of the professor Otto Schödinger as a necessary point to the construction – as a sculpture and images – of the ring which obsessed him: an artefact, supposedly able to generate a black hole, transformed in an useless machine, complex and spectacular, beautiful in itself, but in sum, an artifice which motto is not another than the reflexion on the artistic work. The ring of Schödinger discusses about our confused sailing between reality, the suspicious truth and fiction; on the constructivism and the mathematic art and, for last, about the love the man has for the machine, the artifice and the archeoscience: all that facing the artistic work, from its intimate essence: the search for the utopia, the maximum aspiration of the Reason.
