ARTIST OPEN HOUSES | BRIGHTON FESTIVAL | UK
In March of this year, Miladys Parejo, arts curator and the director of ENCOUNTERS ART SPACE, invited visual artist Alfonso Doncel to participate in ARTISTS OPEN HOUSES event, which takes place during the Brighton Festival 2025. During her visit to his studio in El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz, Spain), she established a representation agreement with the artist for the United Kingdom, and she will be showcasing up to 13 of his pieces in her 2025 Encounters Art Space.
En marzo de este año, la curadora Miladys Parejo, directora de ENCOUNTERS ART SPACE, invitó al artista plástico Alfonso Doncel a participar en El evento ARTIST OPEN HOUSES, durante el Festival de Brighton 2025. En su visita al estudio del autor en El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz, España), ha establecido con el artista un acuerdo de representación en Reino Unido; mostrará hasta 13 obras del autor en su espacio.
The Brighton Festival is an annual artistic event held every May. Founded in 1962, it is the largest multidisciplinary arts festival in England, attracting more than 500,000 visitors. As part of the festival, the Artists Open Houses are a cherished event in the city’s life, offering the public the opportunity to interact directly with artists and their works.
Encounters Art Space welcomes around 2,000 visitors every year over four weekends. This year, they are celebrating fifteen years of success at the Artists Open Houses festival, presenting works that draw planes of connection, foster dialogue, celebrate diversity and challenge artistic conventions.
El Festival de Brighton es un acontecimiento artístico anual, que se celebra cada mes de mayo; fundado en 1962, es el mayor festival multidisciplinar de arte de Inglaterra, al que acuden más de 500.000 personas. Dentro del mismo, las Jornadas de Puertas Abiertas para Artistas representan un acontecimiento muy apreciado en la vida de la ciudad, ya que ofrece al público la oportunidad de interactuar directamente con los artistas y sus obras.
Encounters Art Space recibe cada año a unas 2.000 personas durante cuatro fines de semana; este año celebran quince años de éxito en el Festival de las Jornadas de Puertas Abiertas para Artistas, presentando obras que trazan líneas de encuentro, fomentan el diálogo, celebran la diversidad y desafían las convenciones artísticas.
