THE ANSWER I AVOID

“Refugees talks about habitable places. About hiding places in the middle of the people (and inside the people). About opened and closed places, like the heart. Like the books. (Life is the best habitable place).

It also talks about feelings. Above all it talks about feelings. About the possibility of escape, the resistance of the exile. About the shelter and the jail that suppose, in parallel, to live each day.

When I read the fragments of Refugees, when I get to the surprising rest of it’s last page, I see the biography of a man. (I think that that man can be Alfonso Doncel). A man who likes the ambiguity of certain metaphors. A man who likes the proximity of the border.

A man who avoids to answer to unneeded questions. A man who likes to tell stories”.
